2022 - A year of recovery
With the year drawing to an end we wanted to thank all our friends for their support of Holden Manz during the year.
It has been really great to meet many of you again at the country house, in the tasting room, at dinners and during wine shows. In the vineyard we successfully planted 3 hectares of syrah and 1 hectare of merlot helping to secure the future health of the vineyard for the next generation! On the farm we had a strong 2022 harvest.
The white and rosé wines are now mostly in the bottle and the red wines are sleeping peacefully in their French oak barrels. We have welcomed back a number of familiar faces to our five-star county house with returning guests from Europe and the United States who have been kept away by COVID. The Holden Manz picnics on the banks of the Franschhoek River underneath the 200 year old yellowwoods have once again proved to be popular with both new and returning guests. We also re-opened for á la cate lunches at the Franschhoek Kitchen restaurant with a selection of new dishes as well as some old favourites.
The Holden Manz Tasting Centre has been extremely busy sharing new vintage releases with guests and is looking forward to lots of visitors during the festive season. Wishing you all a peaceful and merry Christmas and a prosperous new year for 2023. Your Holden Manz family.
PS our Tasting Room is open 10am to 5pm and the restaurant for á la carte from 12-3pm every day apart from 1 January 2023. Come and say hi!
