A new month of lockdown begins along with a new season, only no-one told the weather gods! We started lockdown in late summer, went through autumn and winter and now find ourselves pushing into spring! We had a couple of big storm systems through just as spring was sprung on 1 September, with over 100mm of rainfall over three days. The forecast for the next few days looks more friendly and our tasting room will be set-up out on the lawn to allow for social distancing and all the better to enjoy the wonderful mountain views.
Our tasting room is open 7 days per week from 1000-1700 with light lunches including our famous Wagyu burger, artisanal cheese/charcuterie platters, bobotie spring rolls and homemade soup available all day during weekends. We are also delighted to welcome back the Franschhoek Wine Tram which is operating Saturday and Sunday during September. We had a few guests last weekend and are excited to receive more this weekend.
The Holden Manz Country House is open and working at full capacity – we just had our first full night since the start of Lockdown so things are slowly returning to normal. We have seen good bookings for September and October as guests take advantage of our accommodation special offer. We invested in a fogging machine so all suites and communal areas are disinfected between users.
To celebrate the start of spring we have a special wine offer. Buy 12 bottles of Rothko Rosé 2019 and receive 6 as a gift from us. SA residents only, over 18s, purchases via webshop until midnight Sunday 6th September.
Yours in wine
