The creators of Africology have a passion for the healing essence of plant life and the restorative power of essential oils. They blend this insight with respect for the wisdom of traditional healers and aim to share this over-arching wisdom with all.

How we formulate

Where possible we use only organic ingredients.  Our products are free of toxic chemicals, including dangerous preservatives.  Our focus is on capturing the intelligence of nature in the restorative process.  Knowing that the essence of nature can synergistically interact with your energy system forms the basis of our creations.

We do believe in responsible formulating practices and therefore we use safe, natural preservatives.  We simply cannot use parabens to preserve our natural plant extracts: it is pointless to damage living essences with chemicals.  We prefer to use plant oils for their restorative properties instead of petrolatum that can be harmful to nutrients that feed and regulate the function of the skin.
Our oils act as a barrier preventing or minimizing water loss.  Allow a short period of adjustment to enable our plant oils to compensate for deconditioning of the skin caused by unnatural treatment.

Natural healing uses many different modalities apart from aromatherapy, herbal extracts, massage and mind-body techniques to transform how you look and feel from the inside.

Africology’s trained therapists use energy massage techniques in body treatments and on a personal level you can start to use energy in daily rituals yourself.  Using plants that have high energy levels and are congruent in the energy levels of the skin, produce superior results and lead to better levels of energy and balance. However, this balance should also be sought in one’s external environment.
