Level 3 – We waited so long.

05.06.20

Greetings to you all from a sunny Franschhoek on Full Moon Friday!

The first five days of Level 3 seemed to have passed reasonably peacefully.

This has been an absolutely hectic week for the whole Holden Manz team.

Everyone has been involved in making sure our loyal customers have received or are in the process of receiving wines.  First delivery took place in Franschhoek at precisely 0900 on Monday 1st June.  Most of our Western Cape and Gauteng orders have now been fulfilled or are scheduled to be fulfilled in the first couple of days of next week.  Deliveries to other parts of the country are taking a little longer as the national courier companies are completely overrun.  Please bear with us, our partner courier companies know how important it is to get your wine to you.

The Franschhoek weather continues to be an absolute dream with temperatures in the mid 20s most afternoons.  We had two cold fronts come through and another one is destined for next week so we are receiving plenty of top up water.  The cover crop in the vineyard is growing at a rapid rate of knots.  The vines are pretty bare having shed their leaves and the big oaks and yellow woods are slowly losing their leaves.

We have taken the opportunity of being closed in our country house to undertake some thatch maintenance.  Our staff are all keen to get back to work and continue pampering our wonderful guests.

This week we are making two very special cases of wine available consisting of vertical vintages.

The first is a mixed case of Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon containing 2 bottles each of 2016, 2017 and new release 2018.  R1500 per case of 6 bottles.  Free delivery in South Africa. Buy now!

The second is a mixed case of Holden Manz Syrah containing 3 bottles each of 2017 and new release 2018. R1500 per case of 6 bottles. Free delivery in South Africa.  Buy now!

Look out for our Holden Manz Fathers’ Day special offer newsletter to be released next week with a special recipe by one of Franschhoek’s most well known chefs.

Yours in wine

Gerard & Migo
